Dr. Stephen Ramroop has worked as an Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon in Trinidad and Tobago for over 20 years. He has worked with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management in for the Caribbean nation’s government and still responds to mass casualty events such as the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. As someone who leads medical teams, Dr. Ramroop looks to constantly improve his training methods. The Forensic Medicine program appealed to him because of the convenient online format and the proximity of the University of Florida to the countries he works in.
Haley Russo knew that the online Forensic Medicine program was a perfect transition from her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science at UF. Her career goal is to become a death investigator and graduate coursework is expanding her understanding with a variety of subjects. The online format allows Haley to work and study from wherever she finds convenient.
