Non-degree minimum requirements: for all applicants (domestic and international)
- Bachelor’s degree
Note: Letters of recommendation are not required and are not considered or reviewed in the admission decision process.
Additional requirements: for international or non-English speaking applicants only
For a person whose native language is not English or for an applicant who graduated with a bachelor’s degree from a non-English speaking country, minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores are 550 for the paper-based, 213 for the computer-based, or 80 for the internet-based exams.
- Non-English speaking countries are those which are not included in the Graduate School’s list of English speaking countries.
- Other Graduate Council-approved English language skills tests may be substituted for the TOEFL, including IELTS and MELAB.
